Bobby would become a legend of the beautiful game, thatwould surpass most of his peers, and provoke legendary manager Bill Shankly to express, "Stop Bobby Hope and you stop Albion".
Hope was the heartbeat of so many Albion sides during his ten year career at The Hawthorns, before transfers to Birmingham City then Sheffield Wednesday which also saw him loaned to the Philadelphia Atoms and Dallas Tornado over four NASL seasons.
Following his retirement as a player, Bobby returned to his spiritual home at The Hawthorns, working firstly in youth development then as a Chief Scout working with managers including Gary Megson, Bryan Robson, Nigel Pearson, Tony Mowbray and Roy Hodgson. Published in 2023.
