Dobo – For Club and Country – Martin Dobson's Autobiography

Martin Dobson is one of a rare breed of professional footballers who achieved legendary status at two top-flight clubs – as well as the honour of playing with Three Lions on his chest for England. Having brushed off early rejection by Bolton Wanderers as a youngster, Dobson developed into a cultured midfielder, amassing over four hundred appearances for Burnley in two spells that sandwiched a hugely impressive career at Everton Football Club where Toffees supporters nicknamed him 'Sir Dobo – The Goodison Aristocrat'. This book, written by Martin himself, gives a wonderful insight into life as an elite footballer in the Sixties and Seventies and catalogues his unique memories. The book also covers his time playing for, and managing, Bury, Bristol Rovers and his role as Caretaker Manager at Burnley in 2010. Published in 2024.
