Bone Idol – The Striking, Definitive Story of Jimmy Bone

Jimmy Bone was an unsung cult hero of Scottish football. The clubs he played for idolised him. He entered an incredible four Halls of Fame – St. Mirren, Partick Thistle, Arbroath and Norwich City – and was beloved at other clubs, including his boyhood team, Hearts.

He won silverware as a player and manager across his native Scotland and beyond, with his later years as a coach allowing him to share his wisdom with aspiring managers and children from disadvantaged backgrounds. From scoring in a League Cup final while still working part-time down a mine, to being signed by iconic managers Sir Alex Ferguson and Jock Stein and making his Scotland debut in Brazil, this is the definitive, unfiltered story of Jimmy – mostly told in his own words and through those who knew him best, including Alan Rough, John Robertson and Paul Lambert.
