Guttmann also coached clubs in South America and across Europe in addition to coaching the national teams of Hungary, Austria, the Netherlands, Italy, Brazil, Uruguay, and Portugal. Guttmann's story is all the more remarkable as he was a holocaust survivor who escaped from from a slave labour camp where his father, sister and wider family were murdered.
